Services File

I have used the Insert Line to add two lines to the services file, however when the package is uninstalled, the two lines do not get removed. Does any one know how to work around this?

since the services file is a plain text file and msi originally doesn't support textfile manipulation you only can accomplish this with a custom action.
shouldn't be hard to write a js or vbs which adds a line to the file, since you don't want to delete them on uninstall.

stefan has made a little program for this scanario called services.exe (which also removes the lines on uninstall). i think it's freeware. just write him about it (username: hotans) or check his website at hotan.biz
